Time Out has been at the forefront of Beijing’s dining scene for many years as a world-
class guide to urban life. Its Time Out Food Awards has been around for 13 years, being
recognised by the international catering industry as a well-known Beijing restaurant. In
2019, Time Out invited a team of senior Chinese and English editors, Chinese and foreign
food and beverage KOLs and consumers to provide feedback on multi-dimensional
experiences as the criteria for selection. After nearly a month of voting and selection
for authentic Beijing snacks, authentic South East Asian cuisine, innovative food festival
activities, and comfortable and intimate dining experiences, San Wu Tang won Time Out
Reader’s Choice’s ‘Hotel Buffet of the Year’ award. This award not only recognises San Wu
Tang’s offering, but also serves to encourage the restaurant to improve its service further.
